About Me

Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little about the artist. My name is Casey, I live in a small town on the West Coast of the United States. I am a mother of two, a boy and a girl, and a wife to a scientist, so there is a healthy mix of left and right brain in our home.

About My Work

As long as I can remember I have been creating and crafting. For many years I worked as a vintage clothing curator and crafted purely for my own pleasure. I have no formal art training, but rather come from the school of persistence and perseverance. I enjoy creating all types of art, but sewing and textile work is where I seem to return most often. After discovering Blythe in 2008, I was rapidly engulfed into the world of dolls where I suddenly found myself sewing and creating exclusively for this little doll.  From the moment I saw her, I just had to have her in my life. I have dabbled in ball jointed dolls and enjoy their elegant looks, but my heart belongs to Blythe.

Currently, my focus is on creating custom dolls with a cohesive look. I create everything for my customs from the carving and make-up to the clothing and accessories. To me, they are more characters then dolls. Each girl I create has her own "identity" which helps to create a life like creature. Since Blythe has a large following of professional and amateur  photographers, I feel that the personality of the girl makes the art of photography all the easier. Blythe is a fun muse that is always ready for a photo shoot.
